Individual Sessions in Massachusetts, Maine, & Vermont

Individual therapy is a space to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with yourself. Together, we will explore patterns and challenges that shape your life while uncovering opportunities for growth and healing. We will look into the layers of your experience and examine how patterns may be shaping your present existence and find practical applications and actions that can be implemented. This work will be rooted in compassion, trust, and depth. I approach each client's individual counseling sessions with no prescribed interventions. My integrated work combines cognitive therapies such as CBT and DBT, strength-based work, ACT, Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness while accessing somatic work, trauma work, and taking elements from many schools of thought as they are needed for the situation.

I am offering telehealth sessions in Boston, Massachusetts, as well as virtual services in surrounding cities. My license extends beyond these metropolitan areas statewide. Through virtual credentialing, I am also offer therapy in Maine and Vermont.

Substance abuse and sexual issues can affect men and women profoundly. Therapy provides tools to look into the roots of addiction, as well as to address such things as anger issues, or improve self-regulation. Therapy is a forum to reflect on life purpose, personal values, and work towards greater self-fulfillment. This type of work helps women and men set and achieve personal goals, fostering self-improvement, and empowering them to create meaningful changes in their lives.

Women's Issues: It may sound strange that a man would say that he is keyed into women's issues, but I have sat with many women in my role as clinician and have an appreciation for the challenges that women face ranging from health issues, relationship dynamics, personal traumas, abuse, grief, IVF, post-partum, to self-esteem issues, and many others. As a couple's therapist this has expanded my perspective of what women are looking for in their intimate relationships.

Men's issues: Men, like everyone else, experience a wide range of emotions and challenges in life. Yet, the societal pressure to appear strong and stoic can sometimes prevent men from seeking help when they need it. Therapy provides a safe space for men to explore their unique stories. Men often use therapy to navigate work stress, relationships, and explore sexual concerns. Therapy can improve interpersonal skills and strengthen relationships, encourage men to explore emotional fluency, improve emotional intelligence, and communicate their needs effectively. The objective is to help clients develop the tools and skills they need to manage life's challenges and reach their goals.

In our first session, the focus is on getting to know you as an individual and understanding the challenges you’d like to explore. I believe change happens when you develop a deeper understanding of yourself, gain clarity, and make core shifts that allow growth to emerge.

Books and resources can spark awareness, but change usually requires deeper support and accountability. Therapy offers a space to apply insights in real time, work through barriers that keep you stuck, and practice new ways of relating to yourself and others.
