Couples Counseling in Massachusetts, Maine, & Vermont

Couples therapy sessions provide a safe and supportive environment to help you and your partner work through conflict, improve communication, and strengthen your relationship. Whether you’re addressing communication breakdowns, resolving long standing issues, or rekindling connection in a long-term relationship, our goal is to guide couples toward practical solutions and a more harmonious partnership. Through therapy, couples can explore patterns, strengthen their bond, and develop the skills needed to navigate the complexities of shared life.

My approach in couples counseling is taken largely from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to guide the distressed couple away from rigid, harmful, and destructive ways of reacting and toward sensitive, flexible ones that support intimate and secure bonds. Couples often travel the same paths when in disagreement, or have the same arguments repeatedly, insisting on points of view that are difficult for their partners to incorporate given their relational distress. There are even needs the go inherently unexpressed as couples repeat cycles of conflict. My work centers around breaking down these patterns to create understanding, strengthen their bonds and find greater relationship satisfaction. I also use practical techniques taken from the IMAGO & Gottman modalities. This type of therapy is designed with more practical exercises for couples working to develop an understanding of their partner's and their own emotional reality.

I am offering virtual sessions throughout Massachusetts. I am also credentialed for online therapy in Maine and Vermont.
